International Workshop 2012 on Detectors, Systems & Tools for Demining, EOD and IED
The International Workshop 2012 on Detectors, Systems & Tools for Demining, EOD and IED was organised last 8th, 9th and 10th October 2012 at the Vallon GmbH's premises in Germany.
The latest developments in the field of data evaluation software and EMI-detection of UXOs in strongly mineralized soils were presented to the audience during the workshop.
Moreover, the participants were introduced to live demonstrations of Vallon’s:
-Mine detectors;
-Dual sensor detectors;
-Bomb and UXO locators;
-Combined multi sensor arrays, and;
-Data loggers
The workshop was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences with international participants and discover how the TIRAMISU project is providing the Mine Action acommunity with a toolbox to assist in addressing the many issues related to Humanitarian Demining and thus promoting peace, national and regional security, conflict prevention, social and economic rehabilitation and post-conflict reconstruction..
