TIRAMISU presented during the 7th International Workshop on Robotics for Risky Environment in Saint Petersburg, Russia
TIRAMISU partners participated in the 7th International Workshop on Robotics for Risky Environment. The event took place as part of the biannual St. Petersburgh Innovation Forum. During the two-day event stakeholders from across the globe gathered to discuss new developments in the field of Extreme Robotics.
On day one Yvan Baudoin, TIRAMISU liaison officer from the Royal Military Academy of Belgium, gave a speech to the workshop attendees on the work of the TIRAMISU project, paving the way for potential collaborative work between the project's consortium and Russian stakeholders.
On day two, which was dedicated to technical development, Lino Marques, a senior expert from the Portuguese Institute of Systems and Robotics who works on the TIRAMISU project, presented new findings in the field of robotic mine clearance technologies and handheld dual sensors devices. Dirk Schmidt, the CEO Of Dialogis and a Senior Researcher who is developing GIS tracking of verification assets for TIRAMISU, and Gerd Waizmann, the CEO of Protime who is developing Land release planning and decision support tools for the project, also gave presentations on new navigation and communication capabilities for robots.
The participation in the event was a success for TIRAMISU partners as they were able to attract interest in the project from the Russian public.
